- I%2 1/2, T, margarine, melted
- I%2, tsp, salt
- I%1/2, tsp, pepper
- I%1/4, tsp, marjoram
- I%2, med, carrots, sliced
- I%3, med, onions, white type and quartered
- I%4, med, potatoes, thinly sliced
- I%1 1/2, c, cheddar cheese, grated

- R% Brown the ground beef slightly and drain off the grease. Stir
- R%in the margarine, 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of pepper,
- R%and the marjoram.
- R% Spread half of the mixture in a buttered 3 quart baking dish.
- R% Lightly brown the onions.
- R% Arrange the carrots, onions, and potatoes over half of the meat
- R%mixture.
- R% Cover with the remaining meat mixture and sprinkle with the
- R%remaining salt and pepper.
- R% Bake covered at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
- R% Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the cheddar cheese.
- R% Return to the oven and bake again for fifteen more minutes.

- U%recipe. You might try adding a can of stewed tomatoes as well.
